Narrative Designer (project-based)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Experience: 2+ years of experience as a Narrative Designer.
- Reverse Engineering Narrative: Ability to “layer a story onto already existing assets.
- English: Advanced / Fluent
- Experience with Social/Dance/Casual games: Understanding the genre specifics (Mstar, Audition, or modern mobile rhythm games)
Requirements:
- Developing a cohesive High-Level Vision: Creating the overall concept of the game world, lore, and tone.
- Defining why the players dance and what their ultimate goal is.
- Structuring progression (Narrative & Level Structure): Integrating the story into the level system.
- Designing the logic for unlocking new locations and objectives on the existing map
- Quest & Objective Design: Reviewing and improving the existing task list to ensure an engaging player flow.
- Documentation: Creating clear and well-structured documentation (GDD, Narrative Bible)
